Utilizing negative space, jmaw brings to Life this abstract Sunset.
Sunset is easily my favorite time of day.
As I discovered the joy in created this style of painting, I was reflecting a great deal on the idea of The Other. As a mixed-race person born and raised in Hawai'i, I've been in the space of The Other. Not enough this to be that, not enough that to be this, but enough of both to be in the other space. I had a hard time with that growing up, but the beautiful thing about that space is that because of the mix, blends and contrast, you start to focus on what makes the picture, whole.
