It's been a great summer for the Waiakea team, filled with family & friends, creativity, long nights, early mornings, and steady growth. We're sad to see it go, but grateful for the opportunities we were offered and connections that were made over the past 3 months.
SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS
Installed another 2 water pumps in Kasonda and Kathobwa, Malawi, providing 236 community members with clean and protected drinking water. There is little that is more rewarding. Welcomed Willie Kessel to our Waiakea Ohana, a creative with the exceptional ability to capture the dynamic elements of the ocean. See some of his work here. Collaborated with scientist and surfer Cliff Kapono on a short film, documenting the movement towards sustainable resource management in Hawai'i. Stay tuned for its release!
