Sumiko “The Lady Samurai” Inaba welcomed Waiākea to join her in a behind-the-scenes shoot on the island of Maui. The Maui Native and King Kekaulike High School graduate is a mixed-martial-artist on the rise, fighting in the Flyweight Women's Division of Bellator MMA, one of the top MMA promotions in the world.

Known for her explosive stand-up style, Sumiko holds a 2-0 record as a pro, with both victories coming via knockout. As an amateur fighter, she was 6-1, and is currently riding a seven fight winning streak, which dates back to 2016.
Fun Fact: Sumiko's upcoming fight at Bellator 268 on October 16th marks her third fight in the past 12 months since making her professional debut in November of 2020.
