During our stop on Maui this past November to support Project Hawai'i, Inc., the Maui Rescue Mission, and The Shane Victorino Foundation, Waiākea also took some time to connect with our ambassador and international music sensation from Hawai'i - Jordan T!
The former lead guitarist/vocalist of the Maui band Maoli, Jordan T has continued to achieve his musical dreams which led him to play as lead guitarist/vocalist touring the globe with the legendary international reggae band, Katchafire (NZ). His music is on repeat on Hawaiian and international reggae radio stations on Oahu, Maui, our home the Big Island, Guam, Tahiti, California, Japan, and throughout Europe. His most acclaimed singles include his #1 Hawaiian hit, “Sunset Tonight” (2013), “Closer To You” (2015), off of his Debut Album (Bridges with the Vibes) “Find Ya Riddim” (2017), and the most recent release "Fire By Your Side" (2021).
With an audience that continues to grow and over 4 Million streams on spotify alone, Jordan T is no stranger to the global reggae touring circuit, which has taken him to International Music Festivals such as Rototom Sunsplash (Spain), Riddu Riddu Festival (Norway), Chiemsee Summer(Germany), SummerJam (Cologne, Germany), Reggae Sun Ska Fest (France) and American Reggae festivals like Reggae on the River, California Roots Festival, Reggae on the Mountain, Island Vibes Fest, Island Reggae Festival, Trenchfest (Guam), Reggae on the Block (Orlando), and many more. Now home from touring earlier this year, Jordan has been hard at work creating new music, including his official music video for his song "Fire By Your Side".
