In 2021, our award-winning Kōkua Initiative impacted 56,835 lives! 
One key component of this work was our year-long efforts to improve literacy, which culminated with the start of our partnership with Waiākea ambassador and NBA Superstar Klay Thompson.
Working with Klay’s charity The Thompson Family Foundation, together we donated 3,000 books, which impacted students at home in Hilo at Hilo Union School and the Bay Area at Burckhalter Elementary School (Oakland) and Leola Havard School (San Francisco). In total, we donated 6,000 books this past year!
