Jacob Gibb

Jacob Gibb

Before volleyball, the Bountiful, Utah native, Jacob Gibb, played golf and basketball. He actually didn't actually play in college, but attended the University of Utah and graduated in 2002 with a degree in business, and moved to Southern California the same year. Jacob didn't take up beach volleyball until he was 21 and played with then-partner, Stein Metzger, in 2005 winning their first two tournaments. In 2006, he partnered with Sean Rosenthal and they became one of the best teams in the AVP and the world, going to the Olympics together in 2008 and 2012. After the 2016 Olympics, Jacob partnered with Taylor Crabb (another Waiakea ambassador!) and their partnership has been one of the most successful in AVP history.
